Fast Wi-Fi in every room, a reliable wired connection for the home office, a clean TV wall with no visible cables, speakers in the ceiling: all of that depends on low-voltage wiring. ASL Electric installs data, network, TV and audio wiring for homes and businesses across Orange County, neatly run, labeled and tested.
Because we are electricians, we plan the low-voltage wiring and the power together, which avoids the most common problems: a TV location with power but no network, a network closet with no outlet, or data cable run alongside power where it picks up interference. We run the cable, terminate it, label both ends and test every run.
Low-voltage wiring we install
⚡Ethernet and data cabling
Cat6 network cabling to offices, TVs, gaming setups and wall plates, terminated and tested.
⚡Wi-Fi access points
Cabling and mounting for ceiling access points so Wi-Fi reaches every room and the yard.
⚡Network closets and media panels
A central location for the modem, router and switch, with power and organized cabling.
⚡TV and coax wiring
Coax and HDMI pathways for TVs and media equipment, hidden in the wall.
⚡Speaker and audio wiring
In-wall and in-ceiling speaker wiring for rooms, home theaters and patios.
⚡Office and suite cabling
Data cabling for small offices and commercial suites, coordinated with the electrical work.
Signs you need better wiring
Homeowners and businesses usually call when:
- Wi-Fi drops in some rooms or upstairs
- Video calls freeze in the home office
- Cables hang below the TV
- The router sits in a corner of the house
- You are remodeling and walls are open
- You want ceiling speakers or a home theater
- Your office suite needs network drops
- Old phone jacks are the only wiring in the walls
Why wiring beats workarounds
Wi-Fi extenders and long cables across the floor are workarounds. A wired connection is faster and more reliable for work and streaming, and wired access points give consistent Wi-Fi throughout the house. Cabling done during a remodel costs a fraction of what it costs later, and labeled, tested runs make future changes easy.

How we install low-voltage wiring
Plan the locations
We plan where you need data, TV, speakers and access points, and where the central equipment will live.
Run and separate
We run cable through walls and attics, separated from power wiring to avoid interference.
Terminate and label
We terminate every run at a wall plate and the central location, and label both ends.
Test
We test every run so you know it works before the walls are closed.
Wire it during a remodel
If walls or ceilings are open for a remodel, it is the best time to add network cabling, speaker wire and TV pathways. The cost of running cable in open walls is small compared with fishing it later. See our electrical remodeling page.
Mesh Wi-Fi or wired access points?
Mesh systems that relay wirelessly lose speed with each hop. Mesh or access points connected by Ethernet cable keep full speed throughout the house. For larger homes, two-story homes and homes with stucco or plaster walls, wired access points make a big difference.
What affects the cost of low-voltage wiring
The main factors are the number of runs, the distance to the central location, attic and wall access, whether walls are open or finished, the type of wall plates and equipment, and whether power is also needed at each location. We give you a free, upfront estimate.
